The clients, a firm of accountants, acquired this high Victorian semi-detached town house which had previously been converted to office use.
The building stands on an imposing plot within the Clifton conservation area. The proposal was for a total refurbishment, but very few structural changes except for the addition of a dormer window to the top floor and a new exit door giving access to the garden.
The project required a complete replacement on the internal services including power and lighting and fire alarm systems as well as external stonemasonry repairs and overhaul of the sash windows. The refurbishment also made provision for the future conversion back to a domestic dwelling at some point in the future and drainage pipes were inserted discretely into the building to allow for future bathrooms.
